I am constantly asked in e-mails and when I log into the game if I will recover somebodies account for them.
The answer is always *NO*.
Accounts are commonly stolen for the following reasons:
They share them with other people
They play a version of Odyssey that has a built in keylogger designed to steal passwords
A buddy sends a program that they say is an undetected "hack" but is actually a virus
They try to sell the account and end up getting scammed by the buyer
I will never recover an account you have lost for ANY reason. Protecting your account is your responsibility. Do not share it with anyone, and don't trust any third party programs. Write down your password somewhere.
It's time to start taking some responsibility in your life. Don't be stupid with your account credentials, or you may be learning a life lesson in the form of having to start over. |

There has been a lot of types of cheating, such as lag emulators and macro programs, that have become fairly widespread recently.
Because of this, I have added quite a large number of programs to the automatic ban. If you do not want to be banned, simply do not cheat. All people banned by this new detection will have to serve the full mandatory 5 day ban before they are able to play again.
A special thanks to all those who are playing without cheating and macroing. We will continue to defend the game against cheaters so they don't ruin it for you! |

It's still moving. Things should be freeing up for more, and hopefully I will be able to adhere to the dates I've given.
It should be noted that you cannot craft a Guardian Plate with Level 1 Smithing, but that upon creating it in the quest, you gain bonus experience for Smithing.
Thank you for your continued support.

Greetings. I figured I should make a post on the front page so people know a little better what I'm up to.
Magic levels are definitely on hold until after I finish the two quests in progress. I know it kind of sucks to have them right in front of you and unable to level, but I believe that quests are several leagues more important and magic levels are more of a bonus. You may have also heard about three upcoming skills. I need to script these as well, so they're also on the back-burner.
Fankadelic's financial situation has been unusual, and that's why he's taking so long to return. He still has no intention of quitting. I myself am waiting for his return, because it will allow me to focus much more on development of skills, magic levels, and quests.
As for the mentioned quests, the one replacing Guardian Helm/Plate and Aegis's old "quest" should be out this month or March. The Glacial-replacing Library quest is going to take a lot more work and should be done March or April.
There are a lot of other things that need to be addressed yet as well. Bugs involving minigames like Carnage and Lottery. Constant debates on map-switch timers and guild sizes. I'm hoping that these issues will be small so that the quest can move along quickly.
In the mean time, if you haven't, make sure to take a look in the General Discussion for the Nameless Hero story. It should provide some excitement and (an extensive lack of) insight into what's planned for the next quest. Thanks for your support and criticism.
Sincerely, Mars |

We have updated and added skill leveling bars. We have also added in levels for magic, as well as a leveling bar for them. Magic leveling will take some time to finish, but Mars will be adding it over time for spells.
We are also working on revamping some old quests and some new ones. We have added new sprites and objects already, and there are more on the way. Special thanks to Mousey and all others who contributed new artwork.
If you have artwork that you want added to the game, you can send it to us. Please, no stolen artwork!
Also, if you are having trouble updating the game, then uninstall it from Add/Remove programs and reinstall it. This has been fixed in the updated version, sorry for the inconvenience. |

Seasons Greetings to all Odyssey Players!
I know it seems like us staffers have been lacking in presence recently, but let me assure you, we are watching to see who is being naughty or nice!
Also, expect some major lag and cheat fixes this holiday season!
And if you have been cheating, you can still send an apology email to me. Tell me what programs you used, and when you used them, and you won't get in trouble. As for people who don't do this, speedhacking and macroing activity is saved in huge logs and I will be doing random account deletions for whoever was doing it that didn't apologize and help to fix the problems. |
